Located in the southeast sector of the City, Acadia is situated between the Bow River to the east and Macleod Trail to the west.

The southeast community of Parkland is named due to its location adjacent to Fish Creek Provincial Park.

Located southeast of the downtown core and near the junction of the Bow and Elbow Rivers, much of Ramsay is situated on the sloping terrain of "Scotsman's Hill".
